    40th Annual World Championship Snowmobile Watercross
July 21-23, 2017
Grantsburg Registration closes July 18 at 12 midnight

The World Championship Snowmobile Watercross is held each year at Memory Lake Park in Grantsburg, WI and is hosted by the Grantsburg Hockey Association. The event is held Friday, Saturday and Sunday and features the top racers from the United States and Canada, each hoping to capture the World Champion honor and the large cash purse. 
 
     
    Registration
        Visit our Registration page to get instructions for registering Online @ SeriesTracker, Entry Fees & Awards and required forms. 
Registration closes on Tuesday at 12:00pm the  week of the event. 
     
    Admission
      Wristbands for the event can be purchased at all gates.
The 3-day pass wristband covers all days of racing and admission to both street dances.
Children ages 9 & under are free.
Adult 3-day pass (ages 16 and over) $25
Adult 1-day pass $15
Friday night dance only FREE
Young 3-day pass (ages 10-15) $15
     
    Event Times
        Watercross includes drag and oval racing over water on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Races start at about Noon on Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and run until about 5:00 p.m.
         
    Race Site:
        Memory Lake in downtown Grantsburg, Hwy 70 to stop light, go left until the T and then left again. 
        4-wheelers ARE allowed from the pits to the camp grounds ONLY with respectful driving. 
Pit Bikes are ONLY ALLOWED in the Pit.  They will not be allowed off the island over the bridge.
         
    Drivers Check-In:
        This will be from 6-8 on Thursday night at Legion and on Friday for Drag qualifying from 8-11am at the IWA Merchandise Trailer in Manufacturer Alley. You can check in for all racing if you want at any time, but Drags will close at 11am to print charts. For those who race only ovals there will be staff at the IWA trailer throughout the day Friday until racing is complete. If needed Friday Night Registration will be announced Friday.

This is the final reminder for the upcoming World Championship Watercross in Grantsburg! Also included will be important dates and times and a pocket guide with this information! Dates corrected.

Key Dates, Times, and Places!
~REGISTRATION CLOSES: Tuesday prior to racing at 12:00pm EST which is 11:00pm CST (our time) NO EXCEPTIONS! If you run into issues with registration call SeriesTracker first, then either Jenefer or Shawn and leave messages. Password or User Name issues are driver problems and are NOT reasons to waive the Late Fee if you miss registration close. www.iwaracing.com

LATE REGISTRATION: Time of Registration Close until Thursday before racing at a cost $50 PER CLASS extra on top of the registration fee. If you leave a message PLEASE call back and speak with someone in person to make sure your registration is accepted. Please call Jenefer at (612) 221-9085 or Shawn at (715) 556-1680.

Now onto some other important things you can't forget about!
HOT PIT INSURANCE: New this year, insurance requirements is for only driver to purchase insurance.  Annual and single event options are available on website www.usacracing.org  choose link to ISR

Safety Tech: REQUIRED! for anyone who hasn't raced with the IWA yet this year. We will have someone in the pit Thursday July 14th from 2-6pm and Friday July 15th from 8-10am. You CAN NOT race without a 2016 IWA Safety tech sticker on your sled!

Driver's Meeting: REQUIRED! for Drag heats will be at 11:30am Friday July 15th on the island/pits and for Oval heats 8:30am Saturday July 16th on the island/pits. Meeting for Finals on Sunday TBA but likely about 9:30am Sunday July 17th on the island/pits.
~ Racing Starts: for Drags heats on Friday at Noon July 15th, and Oval heats on Saturday at 9:00am July 16th. For Sunday finals we will start approximately 10am July 17th with Drags finals first (ovals following after a short intermission)

Other Misc. Info:
~All Minors must be over 14yo to be allowed in the HOT PIT
~All Minors under the age of 18 will be required to have an adult guardian (parent or guardian) sign a waiver and be in the presence of the adult guardian at all times while in the Regular Pit. All other Pit rules will be enforced with regard to clothing and eye protection.
~LASTLY we have a pocket card for you to print and keep handy with all this info. If you would like a copy please email secretary@iwaracing.com and put in the subject "pocket card" and we will email it to you!
